Heavy Trash Reminder - Heavy trash day is the 4th Wednesday of every even numbered month. The City of Houston states this on their website -
“Tree Waste and Junk Waste should be placed adjacent to the front curb in a location easily accessible to the collection vehicle between the hours of 6:00 p.m. the Friday before and 7:00 a.m. on the scheduled collection day.”
So, heavy trash day falls on the 25th this month, which means it won’t be picked up until the week after if we are lucky. Having junk on the curb detracts from the neighborhood, is an eyesore to your neighbors and is a city violation outside of the allocated dates.
